Meet Our First Lady

Kimberly Rushin Jackson, serves as the First Lady of the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, where she is affectionately called “Lady Kim”.

She is a native of Memphis, TN and a graduate of the University of Memphis with a BA in Psychology. Prior to marrying Pastor Arthur Jackson III and moving to Florida, Lady Kim served as the Director of Housing for MIFA Housing Opportunities (MHO), a transitional housing program that serves homeless families in the Memphis Metropolitan area.

During her tenure as the Director of Housing, she developed an annual Women’s Empowerment Showcase, encouraging mentoring relationships with professional women and formerly homeless women.

Since coming to Antioch, Lady Kim has established STORY - (Strengths, Testimonies, Obstacles, Redemption and YES from God). A gathering of women that allows a safe space for women to share their stories and tell others how they made it. STORY is designed to encourage, uplift and empower women. It provides a forum to address private issues that cause shame and embarrassment. It also seeks to provide an avenue of healing by creating connections with Mental Health, Domestic Violence and other self help and life skill service
providers that will aid in propelling us to the next level!

Additionally, Lady Kim volunteers for the National Black State Troopers’ Coalition (NBSTC) and has been an active participant since 1998. The organization works to encourage minorities to seek employment in law enforcement, to participate in self-improvement programs, to prepare and compete for promotion and assignments to special units, and to bring attention to social injustices and bridge the gap between law enforcement and communities.

She is the CEO of KJ’s Jewels, LLC, a jewelry company that specializes in one of a kind, handmade items made with precious stones and beads.

She is also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. where she faithfully serves her community and strives to treat all people with respect.
